Viral Record Tweet for The Big Draw

I grew the Big Draw Twitter by 66.8% from 7,352 to 12,270 in 12 months; faster than The Guardian’s accounts. In total, I grew their social media following from 13,000 to 55,000. I also grew their mailing lists from 8,000 to 25,000. I once hosted a Twitter Q&A with Philip Pullman in collaboration with the BBC.

I created the most successful tweet in The Big Draw's 20 year history below.

Big Draw Thunderclap to 2.5 million Users

My marketing campaign gained The Big Draw’s largest ever audience in 20 years. I contacted major museums, galleries and influencers to sign up for a tweet at 9am on Oct 1, the first day of The Big Draw Festival. This was later retweeted by The Tate to a further 3 million followers. I created another two Thunderclap campaigns which have reached 1.1 million.

Record Instagram video for King’s Business School.

Crystal Palace FC manager Oliver Glasner took part in a Q&A at King’s. I managed the AV team, adjusted the set, took photos and worked with Crystal Palace FC to co-collaborate on a post alongside our social media team. This led to 47.7k views, significant for an account with 12k followers.

First ever Augmented Reality Experience in the World for a University Graduation

I managed this project from start to finish. Which involved briefing, directing and producing a brand new 3D character for King’s College London, designing the UI, animations and logistics of using the app on the day. Made with the KBS alumni team. 65% of graduating students took part. The promotional video of Reggie created by our Social Media Officer Phoebe Hall became King’s Business School’s most viewed Instagram reel of all time, with 23k views.

Big Draw Website Redesign

I designed and commissioned The Big Draw festival's first ever dedicated website. As a result the amount of events jumped from 1100 to 1800 events in one year and created over £30k in new revenue. The site received five times more visitors than the previous year. I wrote all copy, created most graphics and managed a website with 1000+ stakeholders.

Infographic on House Prices for King’s College London

I created this infographic for King’s College to communicate the impact of foreign investment on driving up UK house prices.

King’s Business School Podcasts

I have produced over 50+ podcasts for King’s Business School on the key issues affecting Business and Society. I produced the episode below with Lecturer in Marketing Anna Dubiel. This episode was the second most retweeted content in King’s Business School history and also contributed to Anna receiving an award for this work.

Spokesman on BBC One’s The One Show

I appeared alongside the band Genesis to promote The Big Draw festival.

The vInspired Podcast

I created a series of podcasts. I interviewed young people transforming communities for UK's leading youth volunteering charity - Vinspired. Below is a tweet from the chair of the NCS trust.

The Draw The Big Draw Competition

We received 114 entries to The Big Draw's first major drawing competition. The winner Simona De Leo (pictured below) won £250 and materials from GreatArt, the UK's largest art supplier. I managed the partnership, the competition and everything that led to this beautiful drawing becoming the official logo of The Big Draw 2015.

Volunteer Superheroes Graphic Design and Feature

This was a regular feature, yet wasn't attracting nominations. So I rebranded it, wrote new copy and changed it so people could nominate a winner on social media. I created a series of superhero graphics and photoshopped each winner so they literally became a superhero.

I designed the poster and exhibited my photography in Trafalgar Square

I showed my photography in a group exhibition in St Martin in the Fields church in Trafalgar Square. The exhibition featured the work of young artists not currently in work or education, so I was interviewed for the Arts Council website. I also came up with the exhibition name, marketed the exhibition and created the poster. You can view the poster and my photography below.

Art Tasting exhibition

I exhibited my photography, curated, marketed and created a promo video for an art exhibition at The Rag Factory, Brick Lane. The event was free, had discounted craft beer, free food and an opportunity to sit and socialise around the art. I created an inclusive atmosphere which was unpretentious and relaxed.

A poem I created for Vinspired which received excellent engagement

Summer of Giving Marketing Campaign

I created a summer campaign to encourage more young people to volunteer. This was for the UK's leading youth volunteering charity - vInspired. I designed and wrote three PDFs demonstrating that volunteering improves your mental health, helps you find work and unites communities. Below is a screenshot of my favourite but you can view them all in full here.

10 Steps to Getting a Job

I created a 20 page resource for young people. It offered advice on everything from improving your CV, to bossing a job interview. I created graphics, researched each topic and wrote and produced all copywriting. VInspired were paid £20,000 to produce the guide.

An ad I wrote for Xplode magazine. A volunteering organisation and magazine in the North West.

The Goodstock shop

I created the content and wrote all the copy for Goodstock, an online shop which sold products in vInspired's Manchester charity shop. The website has since been disbanded by the charity, but a screenshot remains below.

I also wrote, proofread and edited all copy for vinspired.com.

The London riots freaked me out. But then I realised the way the media reported it is what triggered me.

So I wrote this article to reflect on the power that the media have to stoke fear. The media represented the villains as the working class, but I questioned whether those people were villains, or a group that had been neglected by society.

Connected

I won first prize for this story on Shared Experience Art Machine.  The story is set from the perspective of a marketer in the distant future and follows his desire to connect with others in a world where technology has made things fast yet shallow.

They do not use anaesthetic

I won an award for this story on the Shared Experience Art Machine website. The story is from the perspective of the mind of a destructive Doctor and is a response to the theme 'Martyr'.

Online links no longer work for these stories. But I plan to host these on my website in the near future.
